The first thing a new mama starts to worry about before her session is whether her home is going to ruin the photos. This doesn’t matter if it’s a tiny starter home or a house worthy of a glossy magazine spread. They worry it’s too messy. Or too dark. Or too bright. Or their furniture isn’t quite right. It’s something we’ve learned to look out for and to make sure we over communicate the simple message: you’re family is perfect, just the way it is.
Case in point is this adorable little family session. It’s a young couple welcoming home their first babe. The sunshine filled corner of their adorable, little condo was a more than perfect setting to capture their first days home as a family of three. And it’s easy to get wrapped up in the details, the messiness and tiredness of new parenthood. But if you look close, it’s beautiful. Wrinkly baby toes and sweet, quiet moments. It’s our job to show up, clear away the distractions, and honor those little moments with forever portraits.
